Introducing Joan

Hi my name is Joan and I'm 63 years old and tired of being overweight (FAT). 
 
I am back on weight watchers after losing 10 lbs.  Did not stick to it over the summer. 
 
My short term goal is to lose 7 lbs by the end of the month.  My ultimate long term goal is to lose 40 lbs   I will take one month at a time.
 
I own a small diner and I sometimes find it hard to eat right after smelling food all day, but my daughter Deirdre and one of our employees Sam are all trying to lose, so we will be helping each other. 
 
Good luck to all my fellow (lady) dieters, hope this will help and encourage all.  Till next week go eat an apple.

Introducing Candy


Hey there.  I'm Candy and I'm a stay at home mom to 3 kids. I'm trying to lose the last of the baby weight, even though the "baby" is 18 months old.  That's still baby weight right?  Right?  Right!  

So anyway, I'm about 10 pounds above pre-pregnancy weight and about 35 pounds or so to where I'd like to be.  Hell, I'll just say it ....I weigh 183 pounds and wear a size 16. (picture my shocked face here)  I never really thought I'd be here and it's funny, sometimes I look in the mirror and I still see that slim 20 year old looking at me. I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted, but now I've really had to learn how to eat healthy.  So that's what I'm doing.  Less calories in, more exercise and loads more water.

I've got a mini goal of being at 175 pounds for Thanksgiving and a long term goal for February.  We're going to Orlando (yikes, bathing suits in the middle of winter!) and I want to look as good as my two beautiful sister in laws!  Seriously, though I love them, it's hard being the fatty in a swim suit around those two.  ;-)  So I don't know how much I want to weigh, but I want to look awesome.  Is that too much to ask?  I don't think so!

So, that's my story.  I'm looking forward to this journey with these awesome women and I hope to get to know you all better too.

Getting to know me!


Hi I'm Jen! I am going on a weight loss adventure...again. Myself and a couple of other great ladies are going to try to get the extra pounds off together and we thought we could do it with an audience. Once a week we will each check in and give a summery of our progress.  We have some other great ideas we might sneak in as well!

So I will start by saying I am wife to a wonderful husband, a stay at home mom of  two boys, 10 and 11, and also a 5 month chocolate lab, Muddy, and of course Princess the Cat .  We are a super busy, always on the go kinda family.

I was working as a teachers aide for the school for almost 2 years and packed on about 25 pounds. I would like to take 35 pounds off to get back down to a size 6!  I want to accomplish this by healthy eating and healthy living.

My long term goal is to loss 35 pounds by March.  My short term goal is to loss 15 pounds by November 25, my birthday....also Black Friday.  My other goals are to be strong and fit and have more energy so I can live my life well!
